What IS Monarchy?

Kings and Queens, rule the country
What IS Monarchy?
A busy and crowded street in England

Dating back to the 9th century, the British monarchy and The Royal Family has existed for over a thousand years aquiring much popularity. And yet, even now, people have seemingly gained interest in The British Monarchy. The definition of the term "monarchy "is when the King and Queen holds almost umlimited power which they could use for a satisfying and a beautiful country or a hellish world.

In the early centuries, a single or couple of people who were deemed "worthy" of the crown was elected to become the future King or Queen. This particular person or couple then gains complete power over the kingdom or sometimes the whole country. This meant that they could use their power to facilitate poor working conditions and the economy. Nevertheless, this also meant that they could've used the power for bad.

In England in 1688, the Glorious Revolution took place to topple and depose King James II and replace him with his daughter, Mary II accompanied by William the Orange. This led to the start of Constitiutional Monarchy which means that people have equal rights and that the Queen and King does not decide alone after the new couple signed the Bill of Rights.

Shortly after the Glorious Revolution took place, some French peasants strongly thought that the idea of Constitiutional Monarchy was mind-blowing; therefore, they forced the King, Louis XVI and the Queen, Marie Antoinette to grudgingly sign the Bill Of Rights. Subsequently, the King and the Queen attempted to run away from France but was shortly caught by the peasants. Therefore, we can conclude from this cowardly action that the King and Queen did not like the idea of Constitiutional Monarchy.

From the full description above, we are now able to conclude that the definition of the term "Monarchy" is when the King and Queen has full power over the kingdom and occasionally the whole country and that the Royal couple can use their power for good or bad or a bit of both. I do wish that if there are any Kings or Queens in the future, they would use all their power to help promote the awareness of environmential issues, and support peasants live a better life.
