Games: Good or Bad?
A majority of people claim that video games have negative impact on children such as violent behaviour and aggression, however, recent research have somehow proved that video games can have positive effect on children.
Are video games pleasant or harmful?
For many years, video games were accused of causing violence and disrespectful behaviour on children and adolescents.
As they would say, adolescents would later come in age favouring cruelty after immersing in brutal games such as Call of Duty, and Left 4 Dead.
Due to some games, people become crazy enough to commit murder because some bloody games contribute to brain malfunction causing the person to be out of control. For instance, a gunman shot and killed 22 citizens and injured several others in refererance to a military combat game which stated that the man was familiar with the shooting.
Nevertheless, after some years, research found that video games can have beneficial effects on children.
Some games such as Minecraft are effective to children as they can build anything they want with unlimited access of building blocks.
The building practices in Minecraft are advantageous
since Minecraft encourages to be creative and use their imagination which means that children can build almost anything.
Among Us, a game owned by America, has an advanced layout which enables you to explore every room until you find a target or an emergency meeting.
Other games like RingFit Adventure and Just Dance!allows you to have fun while excercising.
As another affirmative on video games, games allow the ability for the player to encounter the game as the protagonist instead of following the protagonists like movies.
Although there are pros and cons when it comes to games, I believe video games are beneficial since some games are entertaining and educational.
To maximize the positive impact and minimize the negative effects, children require proper guidance from adults and learn to distinguish between reality and metaverse.
