The best space film in the universe

Star Wars, a satisfying and fascinating series with a solid plot, is notable among an uncountable number of people across the world. This internationally known series was originally developed by Lucasfilm - a company founded by George Lucas - and was to be later sold to Disney for an approximate 4 billion dollars. But is this money all worth it and why are people constantly stating it is a must watch when they have already watched it about 50 times?

One of the reasons why people are fussing about Star Wars is due to the fact that you could learn history from it. Nevertheless, you might be wondering how a fiction series can actually be a non-fiction in disguise. In response to that, the series was made during the Cold War. The Cold War was a conflict between the USA and the Soviet Union but with no violence or weapons. Thus, the director(George Lucas) was inspired by the whole surrounding: the stormtrooper’s E-11 Blaster weapon was inspired by a submachine gun while the Battle of Hoth was inspired by a German general who led his army directly into the freezing cold.

If you had watched all the Star Wars series, you must have realized who your favourite character is. Your’s might be Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, or Emperor Palpatine but otherwise you get the point. Diverse characters is another reason why Star Wars is notable. For instance, take Boba Fett. Although the bounty hunter had only 6 min 32 secs in movie screenplay, he was later no ordinary bounty hunter when he showed up in a costume festival and the excited crowd encompassed him. Subsequently, different versions of Boba Fett started appearing in other TV series and shows such as Family Guy as well as The Simpson’s.

As well as history and diverse characters, themes are also one of the many reasons why Star Wars is well-known among people. From my perspective, the theme has the ability to boost a persons’ energy cell and power and also can make someone happier. The composer of this song and several others is named John Williams. He had already joined forces with J.K Rowling and composed Harry Potter and collaborated with some other directors leading to the Jurassic Park theme, Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Home Alone and warhorse.

Watching Star Wars, you may be able to notice that the series is mainly about battles in space. These battles include the appearances of Imperial Shuttles, TIEs, Rebel spacecrafts, and more; this can actually help improve space imagination since they can expect what to see if they have an opportunity to go to space one day.
In Star Wars, asteroids and space junk appear frequently so people might be able to picture what it would look like in space. Likewise, the constant appearances of spacecrafts may also enable people to put an image in their mind and make them infer that the image they have in their heads might have existed if the Star Wars franchise was real.

Like many other film companies, Disney(Star Wars) collaborated with the biggest toy company in the world: LEGO. The benefits of this collaboration is that it enables you to build your favourite character and spacecraft. Mine, for example, is the Imperial Shuttle which I got for Christmas last year(2021). I still remember the great feeling I don’t normally get when I opened the set since this was my favourite spacecraft in Star Wars.
The partnership also increased the budget for both LEGO and Disney as LEGO sales soared when Disney collaborated with LEGO.

Now, we could draw from above that Star Wars was originally created and directed by George Lucas and the blockbuster was sold for 4 billion dollars to Disney and the series was inspired by the Cold War. We could also draw that while watching Star Wars, you could increase your knowledge of space and crafts. Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise to me if an astronaut said that he or she was inspired by Star Wars to follow that career. If we kept developing our imagination and waited eagerly while being patient, space society may actually come to life and one day going to and from a planet would be a whiz and the world would turn into an ecstatic reality.
