Why people enthuse with The Phantom of the Opera?

Consider this question that will take you to euphoria: what is something you enjoy greatly? One of my picks is musicals. They offer you a rare chance to listen to great music while having intriguing storytelling. One of the exceptional and well-known musicals is The Phantom of the Opera. Set in the Paris Opera House, this musical was made by a UK playwright, Andrew Lloyd Webber based on the novel, The Phantom of the Opera, by Gaston Leroux. I recently visited the Sydney Opera House to see the musical The Phantom of the Opera. The experience was utterly magnificent. Why are there numerous Phantom of the Opera fanatics around the globe?

Upon entering the colossal Joan Sutherland theatre, you are overwhelmed by the enormous shiny grand chandelier. Covered with some cloth, faintly outlining the words “Lot 666” it hangs by the roof as if it was about to fall. Shortly after the musical starts, sparks discharge out of the sides of the chandelier while it rotates. Most people might be bound to awe at the spectacular sight of the scene. The chandelier also plays a key role in the musical. About halfway through the musical, this chandelier gets dropped suddenly. Once again, it fires sparks out of its sides, hanging dangerously low to the ground.

The Phantom of the Opera also includes magical scene transition settings. For instance, after one particular scene ends, the musical quickly runs onto the next scene in a couple of seconds. Additionally, the transitions invoke spectacular video and audio effects, which are crucial elements of the musical. One of my favourite transitions featured the phantom speaking through multiple speakers rapidly, with the voice panning from left and right. Eventually, the phantom appears in one of the stage boxes and disappears with a “poof” unexpectedly. Marvelous!

In addition to the visual stimuli and audio effects, the musical numbers are the essence of any great musical. It seemed that the orchestra were the creme de la creme of musicians. This was epitomized by how the music resonated with the hearts of the audience. The musical numbers resonated with the audience more easily than picking a grain of rice! Without the orchestra, the musical would barely be a third of what it was planned to be.

The Phantom of the Opera was played for the first time around 36 years ago, and is still renowned across the globe today. With the most captivating music, breathtaking scenes, and a fulgent stage. The Phantom of the Opera is a must-see musical, whether or not you are a musical fan. During the spell-bounding musical, an enormous shiny jewel chandelier the size of an elephant drops from the ceiling and shakes violently before shooting sparks and getting pulled up back to the ceiling.

Additionally, a tower emerged from behind the curtain whilst some stairs appeared spontaneously and disappeared in the blink of an eye. The unbeatable and unimaginably beautiful music of The Phantom of the Opera is sure to leave you enthused and jaw-opened. Shall we go underground to investigate the Phantom of the Opera now?
