Electric Cars: is the money worth it?
Over the whole year round, you may have noticed one major problem approaching incredibly fast: Climate Change. Climate change is a man made problem caused by the burning of fossil fuels in order to produce energy and mass plastic usage. To overcome this problem, many alternatives were invented. One example is the electric car. Although quite expensive, these are a perfect solution to climate change. However, some are against this idea. Read on to find out why.
Not too long ago, there were some specific problems when buying an electric car including the fact that there were usually complaints about the inconvenience of the seats of electric cars and that electric cars have a significant difference in terms of driving ranges and there are only a handful of electric stations in each county. In addition to that, electric cars occcasionlly recieve vehicle fire incidents and while they don’t directly produce fossil fuels — coal, oil, and gas — their energy directs and relies on them.
The fact that electric cars are not popular among some people in the street isn’t surprising due to the cost of electric cars. Electric cars cost a small fortune more compared to the cost of their fossil fuel consuming counterparts and brothers. Some electric cars may value up to $70, 000. Quite a ridiculous price to pay for a single car, isn’t it? Therefore, only a limited number of people are able to afford electric cars although their governments sometimes pay them a certain amount of subsidies.
In conclusion, electric cars are a great and effective way of tackling climate change if combined with renewable energies but many people across the world are unable to afford electric cars due to the immense cost. Electric cars could also be risky at this stage. However, some famous companies such as Tesla, are currently developing safer and more comfortable electric car models. Thus, electric cars may be beneficial for the environment but expensive and inconvenient for us leading some of us to one question: does the disadvantages of electric cars outweigh the benefits of the environment?
